The science behind Daysy's ovulation calculation
Daysy relies on the natural changes in your basal body temperature (BBT) during the menstrual cycle. After ovulation, progesterone causes a slight rise in BBT (typically 0.25–0.5°C = 0.45 to 0.9 degrees Fahrenheit), which remains elevated until your next period.
Daysy’s advanced algorithm, developed from millions of cycles and over 40 years of research, detects this temperature shift to accurately identify your ovulation day, fertile window (up to five days before ovulation plus the day of ovulation itself), and infertile phases.
Know your ovulation days for family planning
With Daysy, you can confidently identify your most fertile days to optimize conception chances. You're only fertile for about 6 days per cycle, making precise ovulation tracking essential for trying to conceive.
Daysy and the free DaysyDay app help you understand your body naturally 100% hormone-free, with no side effects.
